Pizzagalli Construction Company has fifty years experience in the building industry, starting quite modestly in 1958 with a flagpole foundation at the U.S. Post Office in Middlebury, Vermont. Throughout our history, Pizzagalli has been recognized for providing quality construction and construction management services on multimillion-dollar advanced technology facilities, commercial and institutional buildings, industrial and manufacturing facilities, and water and wastewater treatment plants in the Eastern United States.  We are now an employee-owned, multi-state corporation with headquarters in South Burlington, Vermont, and regional offices in Garner, North Carolina and Portland, Maine. 

Founded as Pizzagalli Pre-Cast Stone by Angelo G. Pizzagalli and two of his sons, Angelo and Remo, the company initially manufactured cut stone and handled masonry construction projects. From there, the company expanded into residential and remodeling projects. In 1960, Pizzagalli Construction Company adopted its current name and stopped producing pre-cast stone. As the masonry operation was phased out, the company concentrated on commercial, industrial, and institutional building projects.

The next few years brought a period of rapid growth during which the company assembled a group of expert construction professionals with diverse construction experience. By 1964, Pizzagalli was Vermont's largest construction company. As the company expanded internally, it expanded externally – undertaking projects across the United States and the Caribbean. Since the mid-1980s, Pizzagalli has been consistently ranked among the top 200 largest construction firms in the Nation by Engineering News-Record.
